Patricia Hinds, editor, university professor, and publishing executive, is the founder of Mignon Communications, LLC, a full-service book producer. She is the author of nine children’s books.

Hinds created Essence Books, which includes 50 of the Most Inspiring African-Americans; Wisdom of the Ages: Extraordinary People 19 to 90; Making it Happen: Creating Success and Abundance; Black Men in Their Own Words; 21st Century Sister: Five Keys to Success; ESSENCE: 25 Years Celebrating Black Women; and Total Makeover: Body, Beauty, Spirit; and she produced Essence Books for Children.

Hinds resides in New York City.
